DraftKings was the first NJ online sports betting site to launch. It happened right after the federal ban on sports betting was lifted, and allowed states to regulate sports betting sites within their borders. New Jersey was among the first states to take advantage of the Supreme Court ruling in 2018 and legalize online sports betting.
